Model A
Our Model A gas trailer pump includes a UL Listed deluxe dual flow hand pump that is both versatile and reliable. For high volume fuel transfer, a high handle position setting allows for a 1/2 gallon fuel flow rate per pump – twice the flow of any other hand pump. But if this high flow is not necessary, for heavier fluids or easier pumping, the second stroke setting flows efficiently at 1/4 gallon per pump. Model B
Our Model B gas trailer pump includes a CSA Certified and UL Listed, 8 gallon per minute, 12 volt DC gear explosion proof motor. This pump provides on the go fueling at gas station flow rates all from the convenience of your own gas trailer fuel station. With an internal temperature limiting device and a duty cycle of 15 minutes on and 30 minutes off, you’ll have more than enough time to drain the tank, refuel, and then do it again. Model C
Our Model C gas trailer pump includes a CSA Certified and UL Listed, 15 gallon per minute, 12 volt DC gear explosion proof motor. Coupled with a resettable mechanical fuel flow meter and automatic shutoff nozzle, this is truly a portable gas station on wheels. Add to that an internal circuit breaker and a duty cycle of 30 minutes on and 30 minutes off, you don’t have to worry about over-running on our gas trailers even if you fill, drain, fill, drain, fill, drain several times in a row. Trailer and Tank
All three GasTrailer 55 models are built on the same solidly engineered trailer and tank platform. The trailers are constructed with a welded 2″ tubular steel frame, steel sheet bed, detachable pin-lock tongue, tongue-mounted swivel jack, heavy-duty stabilizer legs, 2″ ball hitch, 4-pin tow adapter, turn signal tail lighting and side markers, 8″ x 4.8″ tires, custom-built single axle, leaf spring suspension, Dexter EZ Lube hubs, and for easy touch-ups and maintenance in years to come, they’re finished off in a simple, but sharp, gloss black paint scheme. Each trailer is fully DOT compliant with its lights, tires, fenders, and safety chains and has its own VIN tag for DMV registration and titling.
The fuel tanks are constructed with aluminum for multi-fuel use. Unlike inferior tanks made with steel, aluminum will not rust and degrade over time limiting the fuel type that can be used. Whereas, these aluminum tanks are built for and DOT exempt with gasoline, diesel, kerosene and ethanol. They have a fuel capacity of 55 gallons, include two bungs on the top for the fuel pump and fuel filler cap, have full inner baffles to reduce movement of the tank contents, are diamond plated aluminum for a shiny and impressive exterior appearance, include a safety overflow vent to avoid pressure build-up, and have a drain plug to fully empty the tank as needed.
To assure our fuel trailers last for years to come, we take an extra step to fight corrosion that normally would be a result of mounting aluminum tanks on top of steel beds. For this, we apply a double-coat of Rust Bullet Automotive Formula between the two metal surfaces. Rust Bullet’s patented technologies are the most effective and efficient method available today to prevent the corrosion of metals. Rust Bullet protects solid surfaces from oxidation and chemical attack. A cured Rust Bullet coating provides protection from steel rust, iron rust, metal rust and metals corrosion.
Battery Box and Electrical
All three GasTrailer 55 models include the same battery box and ground wiring configuration. Inside the battery box is a central bolted connecting point for the three ground cable wires. Coming off of this point, Cable 1 is 12 feet long and used as the earth ground by attaching it to a spike or metal point in the ground. Cable 2 is 12 feet long and used as the vehicle ground by attaching it to the engine block, frame, muffler or other metal point on the vehicle that fuel is being transferred to. Cable 3 is fixed and connects the pump housing to the central bolt.
Model B and Model C gas trailers use a battery powered pump and have additional electrical components not included with Model A. With Models B and C, the battery box is built to accept a 12 Volt DC Deep Cycle Marine Battery, Size 24 (battery sold separately). Included and assembled with Models B and C is a key lock power switch, fuse, battery terminal connectors, and a fourth grounding point between the negative terminal on the battery and the central ground bolt on the trailer.
As an optional item for Models B or C, a battery charger can be installed inside the battery box at the time of purchase. The overnight charger is permanently affixed to the inside of the box and connected to the battery. A separate 110V AC cord runs out of the box to plug into the wall of any standard household outlet. The battery charger is a tender so there is no risk of overcharging. Once the battery charge reaches full capacity, the trickle charge takes over and maintains a full charge so the gas trailer is ready to start pumping!
